HOLI is a Hindu spring festival, also known as the “Festival of Colors” or “festival of love”. The festival signifies the victory of good over evil, the arrival of spring and end of winter. On the festival day, people meet each other, play, laugh, repair broken relationships by forgiving bitter circumstances and move forward with sharing love and affection within family, friends and community. People spend the day smearing colored powder all over each other’s face, throwing colored water at each other, dancing under water sprinklers to celebrate the festival.
