Nepali Ghar Election Committee Notice 2026

Nepali Ghar announces the commencement of its general election process starting from May 14, 2026, to elect Executive Committee officers and Board of Directors members for the term 2026-2028.

Nepali Ghar is committed to ensuring the integrity and professionalism of this election. We earnestly request all members, executives, and directors of Nepali Ghar to thoroughly review this document. Your understanding and cooperation are vital, and we look forward to your extended support and active participation.

The Nepali Ghar Executive Committee has appointed a three-member Election Committee (EC), comprising:

Dr. Sangeeta Shrotriya (Coordinator)
Mr. Bhushan Lal Shrestha (Member)
Dr. Ananda Poudel (Member)

The Election Committee has been entrusted with drafting the policies and procedures governing the election, as outlined in this document. Additionally, the Committee is tasked with overseeing a transparent and impartial election process to select the Eleven Executive Officers and Twelve Board Members for the upcoming term.

4 board members nominated by current board and 1 by Advisory council.

Method, Date, and Location of Voting:

Method of voting will be Ballot.
Voting will be by ballot only.
Voters should have a valid form of photo ID (License/state ID/Passport).
Only voters with valid Nepali Ghar membership can participate.

Ballot Voting:

Date: 14 June 2026 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
Location: Nepali Ghar (4001 W 76th Ave Westminster CO, 80030)

Election Result:

14 June 2026 4:00 PM MST onward.
Election Committee counts the votes, declares results, and publishes them on Nepali Ghar’s website.

Voter Eligibility:

Must be consistent with Bylaws Section IV Article 3.
Voting eligibility is extended to Nepali Ghar members whose memberships remain valid as of May 14, 2026.
Members who submitted membership applications online prior to April 30, 2026, and have been approved are eligible to vote.
Member eligibility and validity will be verified by the Election Commission through the official Nepali Ghar membership database.

Candidate Eligibility:

Candidates for executive positions must maintain active membership status and meet all eligibility requirements in accordance with Section XI, Article 4 of the Nepali Ghar Bylaws.
Candidates for other BOD positions must be eligible voters.

Nomination Process and Fees:

Board Member may not serve for more than two consecutive terms.
Candidates must nominate themselves.
A person cannot file nominations for more than one position.
Nomination starts May 28, 2026.

Other executive positions: $100
Other BOD positions: $50

15 May 2026 – Election notification published.
19 May 2026 – Voter list Verified.
21 Mayl 2026 – Final voter list verified.
22 May 2026 – Nomination forms finalized.
28 May 2026 – EC starts accepting Application.
03 June 2026 – Candidate list published, Application Deadline: 02 June, 5:00PM.
05 June 2026 – Complaint period begins.
08 June 2026 – Final candidate list published.
09 June 2026 – Withdrawal deadline.
10 June 2026 – Final candidate list published.
14 June 2026 – Election Day.
